I was glued to this from start to finish. It felt like I was reading an academic paper. Your approach to the "talent problem" is one that can be built on by researchers. Being able to create frameworks like this gives a sense of direction as to where the gaps are and how best to plug them.
There is the part of access to resources and tools in building software-related careers. Could it be argued that it has an impact on enthusiasm/passion? It would be interesting if we can draw up a similar framework on how things like location, cost of courses, access to internet, laptops, power supply, cost of data subscription, level of education create segments of talents.
